Wednesday, March 4, 2026

The 2026 Te Mania Angus Autumn On‑Property Bull Sale at Mortlake attracted widespread support from local and interstate producers as well as competitive online bidding through AuctionsPlus.

The Autumn Sale achieved a 91% clearance rate, with 163 bulls sold to commercial and seedstock producers spanning across five states, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria. The sale reflected a good balance of Te Mania Angus clients alongside new purchasers, with active online participation reinforcing confidence in the Te Mania Angus performance focussed breeding program.

Interstate demand was strong, with Craig Waldron of Launceston, Tasmania, purchasing six bulls from the Autumn Sale offering. Lot 126 Te Mania Vasoline V811 (APR) (AI) (ET) and Lot 127 Te Mania Vaults V854 (AI) were secured for Craig’s clients in Balranald, New South Wales, while the other four are headed to commercial cattle producers in Tasmania.

The importance of shared genetics to drive industry progress was highlighted when Texas Angus from Warialda, New South Wales were the successful bidders of the top selling lot, Lot 4, Te Mania Vanderplank V382 (AI) sired by Moogenilla Quinella out of Te Mania Barunah Q24 (AI) demonstrating the strength and benefit of the proven Te Mania Angus bloodline.
