Wave Hills supply Greenham’s Grass-Fed Beef Program

Team Te Mania members Ian and Devan Robertson have found success in supplying surplus females to the Greenham’s “Never Ever” Beef program, reports the Stock and Land, in its recent Livestock Leaders – Greenham feature.

The Robertsons who run about 800 breeders at Wave Hills, Tahara, supply cull heifers and older cows to the Greenham program, directly from their improved pastures which include ryegrass, phalaris and clovers.

“Typically we’re sending them the unproductive cows that are preg tested empty, and the cull heifers that don’t make the specifications for the heifer export market,” Devan Robertson said.

The Never Ever program was established in 2012, and sources beef that is 100 per cent grass-fed, with no added hormones, no antibiotics, lifetime traceability and Meat Standards Australia (MSA) Certified.   Full story
