Autumn Bull Sale Preview | Beef Week | Mortlake, Victoria
- Friday, February 2 2018
- Venue: Te Mania Angus, Reichmans Lane, Mortlake
You are invited to preview the 2019 Te Mania Angus Autumn Bull sale bulls.
This line up of bulls are quiet, high growth and high quality carcase bulls, bred to thrive under diverse Australian conditions. They meet strict criteria for temperament plus the economic traits needed to improve the profitability of your herd.
All Te Mania cattle are independently assessed and scored for docility and for structure, with scores and EBVs for these traits published in the sale catalogue.
Te Mania Angus genetics continue to provide a distinct marketing edge, recognised for calving ease, fast growth, good temperament, high fertility and carcase quality.
Stud principals, Tom Gubbins and Hamish McFarlane welcome your questions and look forward to discussing the balance and efficiency of important commercial traits for your herd.
Hear about the management of the 1700-cow Te Mania Angus herd, the structural assessment program, progeny testing, performance recording and fertility. Tours of the property will be available, including intensive grazing management systems.
For prospective bull buyers this Field Day is a perfect opportunity to leisurely take notes on individual bulls. In February, the bulls will be filmed and uploaded on the Te Mania Angus website two weeks prior to sale day. It is ideal for AuctionsPlus users.
The breeding program is underpinned by the extensive Team Te Mania progeny test where objective measurements are collected in commercial breeding operations throughout NSW, Vic and SA. Over the last two years over 14,000 Te Mania Angus progeny have been recorded on Angus Breedplan.
Our focus is on the key profit drivers of fertility, structure, growth and carcase quality. The continued progeny testing adds to the consistency in EBVs and recognition of the Te Mania Angus brand.
It enables commercial producers to more accurately select for replacement herds, breeder markets, backgrounding and feeder markets.
All interested breeders and agents are welcome to attend the Field Day which will be held at Te Mania Angus, 448 Reichmans Lane, Mortlake from 9am. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
