Marcus Oldham College – Scholarship applications are open

THE Marcus Oldham College agriculture course is a dynamic pathway for the next generation of leaders in Australian agribusiness.
Based at Geelong, Victoria, the college’s program, based on best management practice, is designed to produce graduates who can operate in the full range of agricultural and horticultural production systems.
By aligning both theory and application through the school’s focus on real-world case studies, graduates are professionally prepared for their role in domestic and/or global agricultural production systems or related industries.

To assist students with the next step in their careers,  scholarships provide financial assistance towards the tuition or residential fee and is generally available for the first year of study and, in some cases, subsequent years.  Te Mania Angus offers a scholarship to the value of $10,000 for a first-year student entering the agriculture course.  Applications are open until August 21 and interviews will be on September 20.

Te Mania Angus director Hamish McFarlane said the scholarship reflects the industry’s need to encourage young people to enter agriculture to become its next generation of well-trained and equipped leaders, and at the same time provide the industry with future leaders.  At Te Mania Angus, we endeavour to be at the cutting edge and connected with all sectors of the beef supply chain, and that is the type of candidate we are encouraging to apply for this scholarship.

To remain competitive on the national and international stage Australian agriculture needs talented achievers and access to what Marcus Oldham College has to offer is an excellent first step in that career.    Full scholarship details are available at marcusoldham.vic.edu.au.
