Dry conditions leading to higher slaughter rates means beef exports last month passed 100,000 tonnes for the second month in a row
With 101,200 tonnes shipped last month, it was Australia’s third largest June on record, up 6700 tonnes or 7 per cent compared to June last year.
Beef exports for the year-to-June are now at 536,700 tonnes — an increase of 13 per cent on last year.
