The latest Estimated Breeding Values (EBV’s) have just been completed with the August 2017 figures now available.

Home bred sire, Te Mania Berkley VTMB1 is the second highest registered Angus bull in the country for the lucrative Heavy Grain $Index.  Berkley has magnificent phenotype, is a trait leader for calving ease, gestation length, days to calving and marbling (+4), with 5,394 progeny analysed across 164 herds.  He has 18 grandsons in the Te Mania Angus Spring Bull in Walgett on August 8th.

Other Te Mania sires to rank highly were, Te Mania Jerilderie VTMJ10, Te Mania Joe VTMJ963 and Te Mania Jolson VTMJ1337, all in the top 15 sires for this market.

Te Mania sires also topped the Heavy Grass $Index Te Mania Jerilderie VTMJ10, the second highest bull in the country, Te Mania Jaal VTMJ2 fourth highest, Te Mania Foe VTMF734 coming in eighth and Te Mania Joe VTMJ963 rounding out the top 15.

The top Heavy Grass $Index sire and top Angus Breeding $Index sire was GAR Twinhearts 8418, has sons and grandsons who also feature in the upcoming Spring Bull Sale.
