CHERRYMOUNT - DAVID AND PRUE McCULLOCH

The nucleus of David and Prue McCulloch’s Cherrymount herd resulted from a two-year embryo transplant program with Te Mania Angus in 1998.

Today the breeding herd has 400 spring calving cows which are paddock joined to Team Te Mania Angus bulls.

David and Prue McCulloch aim to breed superior Angus cattle through their access to elite Angus genetics and herd advice available through Team Te Mania.

Cherrymount steers are sold through Team Te Mania at approximately 18 months into feedlots and surplus females are marketed through the Team Te Mania female sale.

The McCullochs have found Team Te Mania membership gives them access to superior genetics through leasing bulls which are quickly replaced if they breakdown.

Being part of the Team also allows the McCullochs to be part of a committed group of beef producers marketing their cattle under the Team Te Mania brand.
